Since its formation in 1991, ConeTech has initiated radical change in the wine industry

It is now in a quite dramatic expansion mode - with simultaneous GEOGRAPHICAL expansion, and expansion into beverages other than wine.

Starting in California and now extending into Latin America, South Africa, and Europe, ConeTech has altered how hundreds of winemakers approach the fundamental process of winemaking by “re-educating” the industry in the merits of “flavor management”. ConeTech provides the toll-based lease of high-tech equipment that makes this possible.

Expanding presence

ConeTech now plays a major role in the international wine industry. In California, the world's largest alcohol adjustment center serves over 600 wineries and similar services are provided in Chile by ConeTech Chile SA, in Spain by ConeTech Inc. Iberica SL, in France by ConeTech Languedoc SARL, and in South Africa by ConeTech South Africa (Pty.) Ltd. Operations by ConeTech Australia (Pty.) Ltd. are anticipated shortly.

ConeTech's international expansion has been driven by market forces, as winemakers in other countries, now obliged to compete in an increasingly globalized business, have demanded equal access to intelligent winemaking tools. RADICAL CHANGE TO EUROPEAN WINE REGULATIONS IN 2008 AND 2009 HAS MADE EU OPERATIONS BY CONETECH FREE OF RESTRICTIONS.

ConeTech's planned expansion into France was triggered by a revolutionary change in traditional French attitudes. Many wine producers (particularly in the warmer grape growing areas of Southern France) demanded access to the same technological solution to the problem of high alcohol as was enjoyed by their increasingly successful New World competitors. The same has been broadly true in Spain.

South Africa's return to the role of major player in the global wine industry was spearheaded by many wines offering big varietal fruit character. The need for corresponding alcohol adjustment by ConeTech was quickly recognized by leading South African wine marketers and regulatory authorities.

IN ALL OF THESE COUNTRIES, THE GROWING INTERNATIONAL MARKET FOR “NEW GENERATION” LIGHTER STYLE WINES HAS BEEN NOTED, AS HAS CONETECH’S UNIQUE ABILITY TO HELP MAKE THESE TO AN UNPRECEDENTLY HIGH STANDARD. Consequently ConeTech’s local affiliates have been increasingly busy helping local producers develop such products.
